Leadership and Ministry Structure

First Baptist Church of Kingston (FBCK), in its process of replanting as a local church, adopts a model of participatory leadership in which ministry is carried out collaboratively, valuing spiritual gifts and shared responsibility among leaders and members.

This model is grounded in contemporary approaches to church and organizational leadership that emphasize community participation, responsible decentralization, and the development of ministry teams.

In addition to the Emeritus Pastor and the Lead Pastor, the church is supported by a Pastoral Ministry Team composed of retired pastors serving voluntarily as members of the congregation, along with invited pastors who regularly serve as guest preachers.

Pastoral care is organized through internal ministries structured in small groups, many of which are ethnic-based and function as prayer groups in their native languages throughout the week.

On Sundays, the church gathers for a central worship service in English, promoting unity in diversity.
